Visitor communication & entry
Intercom systems for answering visitors and controlling entry.
An intercom lets you talk to a visitor and, if it’s set up for it, open the door or gate. We install the stations, wiring, and access-control link for businesses, communities, and homes.

Capabilities
What goes into an intercom system.
Call points at lobbies, gates, and garages
Mobile, desktop, and phone answering
Tenant directories and call routing
Remote door and gate release, with logs and permissions
Visitor and delivery entry tied to access control and cameras
What to expect
How an intercom project runs.
Visitor-flow assessment
Map the entrances, the callers, and who can open what.
Communication design
Choose stations and cameras, and plan power and network.
Professional installation
Install the stations, call boxes, and wiring.
Testing & training
Test calls, video, and door release with the people who will answer them, including after hours.
Visitor, vendor & delivery entry
Every remote release should follow a clear plan.
A remote release ties together the caller, the person deciding, and the door being opened. We map that before choosing stations or apps.
Arrival categories
Guests, vendors, and after-hours callers each get their own check and their own way in.
Answering responsibility
Decide who answers during the day, after hours, and when someone is out.
Video & identity context
Show the visitor, car, or package in the call view, without capturing more than you need.
Release authority
Each person can release only the openings they’re approved for, on an approved schedule.
Temporary access
Where supported, repeat visitors can use a fob or temporary code instead of a live release.
Events & exceptions
Review calls, releases, and denied entries, kept under your property’s retention and privacy rules.
Features like remote release and event records depend on the platforms selected. Final authority and procedures stay with each property.

Client reviews
What clients say.
After calling numerous companies about getting a security system installed on our apartment building, I was pleasantly surprised when the kind people at Three Factor not only answered, but were actually knowledgeable and very helpful.
They installed a new system and all new cameras and integrated everything seamlessly. They went above and beyond in every conversation, taking extra time to answer all of my questions at every stage of the process.
We had a glitch in our security system and Ruben came back to check everything. Even though it ended up having nothing to do with the equipment they set up for us, they still came to our house and fixed it...for free and with a smile!
Common questions
Clear answers before the project begins.
Guidance is prepared and reviewed by Three Factor Security’s named Security Solutions Manager and Security Solutions Engineers. Final recommendations are based on a professional assessment, the existing infrastructure, the property’s operating needs, and the systems selected.
What is the difference between an analog intercom and an IP video intercom?
Analog intercoms use dedicated wiring and usually stop at local audio or basic video. IP intercoms run on the data network, which supports better audio and video, more answering devices, and integration with supported door, gate, or access systems.
Can I see a visitor and unlock the door when I am off-site?
Yes, if the hardware and network support it. Approved users can see the visitor, talk to them, and open the right door from a phone or computer.
Can the intercom integrate with access control and security cameras?
Yes. The call, live video, and door release can sit in one view, so staff aren’t juggling separate systems. How it works depends on platform compatibility and the door or gate hardware.
Does an IP intercom work if the internet goes down?
Local calling and release may keep working while on-site power and network stay up. Off-site answering and cloud features generally need internet. We can review backup options for critical entries.
Can intercom calls ring multiple staff members or follow a schedule?
Supported platforms can ring several people or stations and follow business-hours or after-hours rules. We set routing to match who’s actually covering, so one missed desk phone doesn’t strand a visitor.
Can visitors receive temporary PINs or QR credentials?
Yes, on compatible platforms. Temporary PINs, mobile credentials, or scheduled QR codes can be limited to set doors and times. Which types you can use depends on the reader, controller, and software.
